Hi all,

Hoping someone may be able to help with an issue I'm having with my OSTC.

Tried to update from v2 to v2.9 via jDiveLog on my Mac (10.9.3)- the software said the firmware had been written correctly, however for hours my OSTC has been sat there, no display on with 2 small blue lights at the bottom of the display on solidly, and 2 orange lights flashing. I keep reading about a hard reset using a magnet, however it seems that the lights stop flashing when the unit has been hard reset, which I cannot make mine do.

Help! It's a very expensive paperweight right now...!

Plug it into a mains power supply USB and perform the reset.

If still no joy email info@deep-ideas.co.uk and arrange to send it in.

Thanks Rob! When I'm resetting with a magnet, 2 questions- does it need to be a particularly strong one, and whereabouts roughly should I be holding it?

Much appreciated,

Fairly strong (the ones off of magnetic notice boards usually work) and it needs to be across the depth sensor / environmental module on the back.

Have you seen the OSTC forum? There's loads of questions about this sort of thing on there.
