Hi All,

are VR3s still worth anything ? Anyone still use them?

Have a VR3C, HD, OC Tx sitting idle in the cupboard and need an idea of value

TIA

John

I got a VR3 colour unlocked for OC &CCR trimix for less than 200, think it was about 170 I paid.

Despite some people's claims they do still have uses and have brought people to far deeper than I will ever go and brought them back again

I still see many of them on boats so lots of people still use them and whilst they continue to work (no prospect for repair) they do a fine job. They are worth whatever someone will pay for them and when you consider the entry price for a trimix computer I'd say around the 200 would be realistic (I sold both mine for 250 each, 2-3 years ago).

Thanks,

was an unwanted gift awhile ago. Couldn't get rid of it straight away as that would have disrupted the domestic harmony so it's only done half a dozen dives and has been gathering diut at the back of the spares cupboard.

Cheers

(no prospect for repair).

I had the depth sensor replaced on mine last year so work can be done on them ;)

I sold mine - a C4 colour- last year on fleabay for 360.
It was woking ok but the buyer (from Malaysia) did not give any feedback!
They do have value and mine served me well for many years. It did enjoy its annual trip to the factory for sensors, screens and software fixes.

was that before, or after, Avon Rubber acquired VR technologies?

(edit: I would prefer to be proved wrong as the VR3 is useful bit of kit)
